I just checked out Doug's prices for trackdays for shits and giggles. He's charging $300 for his next Laguna event and $320 for Sears. His July SP event is $365. I think CFRA's next SP event is going to be like $225 for 5 30-minute sessions . Doug's a ripoff....more money for less time. I hope S2KCA's Laguna date on Dec 19 completely tanks because it's less than a week from Christmas and both them and Doug lose money. That's what I want for Christmas...lol

I saw something interesting last week. There was a post on S2KCA announcing a March 14th date that still had openings at Laguna for Trackmasters. I then received an e-mail from Speedventures announcing that they were thinking about adding a March 14th date at Laguna. I am thinking that Doug was having a hard time filling that date.
I think that the economy is going to start putting the brakes (ha) on these things. It will be interesting to see how many companies planned for this and will make it through it.

I was surprised to find out he is still a sponsor. They don't need to renew or actually do something for the club to keep that title?

Doug is advertising Laguna Seca on May 31 for $450. How crazy is that?? My day at Laguna in March was $225 for 5 30-minute sessions. He only has 45 drivers so far. I hope he loses money...asshole!

im tempted to find out if this is an s2kca ok event....
carol isnt on the board anymore why the hell is she announcing it? its not her chapter or region wtf?
brad isnt gonna do JACK about it tho cuz he is a lazy ass about everything.
i wish i were still on the board to find out wtf is the deal with this event... they had to approve the one in dec but they didnt have to approve this one? carol gets away with way too much. wheres a flaming bag of crap.....

It isn't an S2KCA sponsored event. It's just Carol advertising the day because Doug is a "sponsor". |

if he bought a multi-year membership then he wouldnt need to renew for awhile... i didnt think he was a sponsor for a few there and found out his membership actually was still good. total BS tho cuz he never did anything to give back to the club.. just used s2kca to get ppl to his events. |
